About the Role

We are seeking a uniquely qualified and talented individual who will thrive in our global, collaborative, diverse, fast-paced start-up environment and share in our mission – to eliminate chronic disease.

Our Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) will serve as a member of the Executive Team. As the Company’s foremost scientific leader, the CSO provides strategic scientific leadership to the Executive Team and Board of Directors while serving as the principal scientific representative to investors, analysts, academic collaborators, and strategic partners. The CSO integrates scientific innovation, technical strategy, and external engagement to advance the Company’s mission and long-term growth.

The CSO provides executive leadership and strategic direction for the Company’s Research and Technical Operations organizations through direct leadership of BIOALGX’s biological science and reverse engineering technical teams, ensuring the Company’s scientific strategy is translated into research priorities, technical capabilities, and organizational excellence that support development programs, commercial products, and future pipeline assets spanning discovery through commercialization. The CSO is accountable for building the scientific capabilities, organizational depth, and technical infrastructure that position BIOALGX for sustained innovation and long-term growth.

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and highly skilled Senior Scientist to build and execute our protein biochemistry, biophysics, and drug discovery assay capabilities. In this role, you will design, produce, and characterize high-quality recombinant proteins, develop robust biochemical and biophysical assays, and build focused cellular assay cascades that connect target engagement and mechanism to cellular pharmacology. Your work will generate decision-quality data on potency, selectivity, mechanism, kinetics, reversibility, compound artifacts, and molecular and cellular biology.

You will partner closely with the rest of our reverse bioengineering team along with medicinal chemistry to turn screening hits into mechanistically understood and optimizable chemical matter. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the interface of protein science, biophysics, cell-based pharmacology, and small-molecule drug discovery.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Assay Development Senior Scientist to design and perform experiments that enable the next generation of sensitive, accurate, and scalable single-molecule protein sequencing. You will leverage your molecular biology expertise in a cross-functional environment at the interface of molecular biology, chemistry, bioinformatics, and automation. The ideal candidate thrives at the bench in a dynamic research team and contributes to intellectually stimulating and highly collaborative projects.

In this position, you will propose, design, and test novel analytical approaches to optimize and build predictive understanding of critical components of the LABLOGX Tool sequencing process, including sample preparation, molecular expansion chemistry, and robotic automation integration — proactively identifying, communicating, and addressing experimental risks or resource gaps.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surface Chemist who will be responsible for developing solid-phase supports for DNA synthesis and protein sequencing via our LABLOGX tool’s proprietary technology. This role requires expertise in surface chemistry, solid-phase synthesis, and analytical techniques. The successful candidate will work independently in a laboratory environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

You will develop solid supports that meet the physicochemical performance requirements for a novel single-molecule protein sequencing workflow and are compatible with robotic automation equipment. You will source and synthesize custom supports to investigate surface functionalization, porosity, size, stability, and manufacturability, and optimize functionalization chemistries (including covalent and cleavable linkers, and passivation) to improve interfacial reaction kinetics, efficiency, and assay signal-to-noise.
